THE DERMIS PROBE

Idries Shah

Octagon Press, London, 1980

The Dermis Probe is a study of impediments in current thought that block higher forms of understanding between people. The space-age sounding title was suggested over 800 years ago by 'The Blind Ones and the Elephant,' a story immortalized in Rumi's Mathnavi.

Readings from The Dermis Probe are available from ISHK Audiobooks ('The Teaching Story,' Code TEST1). A Spanish edition is also available from ISHK (LA EXPLORACIÓN DÉRMICA, Code EXDE1).

Even if false gold makes man happy:
At the mint it will be identified. --Rumi

Yes, the world is an illusion.
